Aminatou Haidar rewarded ''Best of 2009'' for freedom and peace advocacy

Madrid, June 25, 2010 (SPS) - The Saharawi activist, Aminatou Haidar, known as the "Sahrawi Gandhi" for her advocacy for the respect of human rights in the occupied Western Sahara, received Friday the award "the Best of 2009 ", for her commitment to defend freedom, peace and human rights, granted by the weekly magazine Cambio 16.
